Organ, harpsichord, ensemble direction, research

I am a professional performing and recording artist based out of Montreal, QC, Canada.

I perform primarily on organ and harpsichord, although I also enjoy conducting, improvisation, and new music using electronics. Early modern repertories and music of underrepresented composers and traditions take center stage in my performances, as I am committed to widening and diversifying the standard repertory for my instruments.

These interests often lead me to new avenues in academic research and writing, which I integrate into my performances through thematic connections, demonstrations, and notes.

  • I am available to perform solo recitals upon request. I design each programme based on the instrument at hand, my current research, and the requests of my hosts. Find audio and video samples under “Recordings,” and examples of programmes I have designed for past performances in “Portfolio.”

  • Artistic exchange and collaboration are central tenets to my career as a musician. My work alongside other musicians and sound artists enriches my own perspective and abilities. Find examples of ensemble accompaniment and direction under “Recordings.”

  • In addition to performing, I remain active as a researcher and writer. My recent projects include the reconstruction of lost organ music by Charles Ives, studies in instrumental arranging and embellishment in early modern Italy, and archival documentation on women organists and conductors in twentieth-century Germany.
